Team to watch: George Mason. Everyone's favorite Cinderella because of their improbable run to the final four a few years ago. The Patriots are the number two seed in the conference tourney this year but they still have a great team that is capable of making a run.

Player to watch: Eric Maynor. He It seems like it was years ago that Maynor led VCU to an upset of Duke in the NCAA tournament. The fact is, he was only a sophomore then and has improved his game. He averages over 22 points and six assists per game and has broke the thirty point mark six times this year.

Upset watch: Northeastern. The Huskies have knocked off both the Rams and The Patriots in conference play this year. If there is a team that could sneak up and pull out a bid, they would be the one to do it.

Tourney watch: There is an outside chance that two teams from the CAA could get into the tournament. For that to happen, more teams would have to lose and VCU would be the team looking for an at-large birth. However, I don't see that happening...Maynor will take control of the tournament and get the Rams into a dangerous 11-13 seed with the possibility of a first round upset.
